How To Use | Digital Booklight
Thank you for your purchase of the mark-my-time digital booklight, a unique timer that helps track reading time in the dark! With proper use, the mark-my-time digital booklight will give you many years of enjoyment.

mark-my-time warrents the digital booklight for 90 days from purchase on all workmanship defects including batteries. Please contact us directly at support@mark-my-time.com.

First use:
Locate and remove 2 plastic battery tabs extending from the battery cover on the back side of the booklight (Figure 3). You will hear a tone indicating that your timer has started and the time on screen will read 12:00 am. Your light is also now ready for use.
Your timer has 3 timing functions:
CLOCK Mode: Monitor time of day. AM or PM will show in the edge of the window after the numbers.
Countdown MODE: to set a desired reading goal for a single reading session. ▼ will show on the edge of the display.
Count up/Cumulative MODE: to monitor total time read over a single reading session or multiple reading sessions. ▲ will show in the display at the end of the numbers.
To switch between the 3 different modes on the timer, press the MODE button until the desired function is displayed in the window.
To Set the time of day on the clock
- Press MODE until the Time of Day and am/pm shows in the display.
- Press and hold the MODE key until all four digits flash.
- Press HRS key to change hour and MINS key to change minutes.
- Clock is in the 12-hour mode. To set AM or PM, hold HRS button until the correct icon shows in the window.
- Once time is set, press MODE key to exit SETUP mode
To use Countdown MODE
Use this mode to set a desired goal for reading minutes. Once timer reaches 00:00, an alarm will sound, letting you know your reading session has completed.
- Press MODE until ▼ shows on the edge of the display.
- To set minute goal, repeatedly press MINS button.
- To set hour goal, repeatedly press HRS button.
- Press START/STOP to until colon begins flashing to indicate timer has been started. Press START/STOP will also stop the timer (colon will not be flashing).
- Upon reaching 1 minute remaining in countdown mode, the display will switch and count down by seconds - the display will read SE:59, SE:58, SE:56...
- Once countdown timer reaches 00:00 an alarm will sound for 30 seconds
- To reset timer to 00:00 at any time, press START/STOP button until colon has stopped flashing and then press the HRS and MINS buttons at the same time.
To use Count Up/Cumulative MODE
Use this mode to accumulate reading minutes over several reading sessions throughout the day, week, month or beyond.
- Press MODE until ▲ shows on the edge of the display
- Press START/STOP button to start the timer. The colon (:) will flash to indicate timer has been started.
- For the first minute of the session Timer will count up by SECONDS (display will read SE:01, SE:02, SE:03...), until it reaches SE:59 at which point it will switch to counting up in 1 minute intervals.
- Press START/STOP again to stop the timer. The colon (:) will stop flashing.
- To reset timer to 00:00 at any time, press START/STOP button until colon has stopped flashing and then press the HRS and MINS buttons at the same time.
Light MODE
To use the booklight feature, extend the booklight adjustable arm out and over the page and press the small button on the LED light head to turn on (Figure 2). If you are in countdown mode, the light will automatically turn off at the end of the alarm indicating the session time is complete. To manually turn off the light, simply press the small on/off button on the LED light head (Figure 1). Swivel and replace booklight to original storage position above timing display. NOTE: Do not swivel light head past the hard stops or you will break the light and void your warranty.
Page Clip
To use the included page clip, place a small group of pages from your book between the clip and the body of the booklight (Figure 4)
